Section 22007 of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provides financial assistance for farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners who experienced discrimination by USDA in USDA’s farm lending prior to 2021.

Beware of potential scams and avoid giving out personal identifying information to parties that are unknown. Some individuals and groups have been spreading misleading information about the Program. Filing an Application is free, you do not need a lawyer to apply and the program staff can provide FREE help. For more information on how to avoid scams, see Resources & Documents.

There are three ways that you can submit an Application and supporting documents: (i) e-Filing (ii) Mail a paper copy (iii) Apply in-person.

Please do not email your Application or supporting documentation for this program. We are not able to consider Applications and/or supporting documents sent via email.

Regional and National Review

The review process will begin after Applications are received. Visit Timeline and Program Deadlines for deadline details associated with filing an Application, which will affect your ability to receive financial assistance.


Payments for approved Applications will be delivered early next calendar year by check through the U.S. mail.
